Paul Hughes Hayes & Yeading side took apart basement boys Dorchester Town at the SKYex scoring four times in the first half before cruising through the second with only a single strike added mainly due to some excellent goalkeeping from the Magpies stopper Shane Murphy.
With United's injury list lessening and Omar Rowe back from suspension, it took United less than 90 seconds to open the scoring. Scott Donnelly fired in a free-kick from the left side that was met with a deft flick in the middle from Manny Duku with the ball flying beyond Murphy into the far corner of the Magpies net.
From this strike United's dominance continued early doors. Afolabi Coker and Toby Little combined to send the returning Omar Rowe into the area,moos low shot being held by Murphy and just five minutes later Coker collected a deep corner before laying the ball off to Duku, the striker sliding the ball inside to Hassan Jalloh who shifted his feet well only for his shot to go the wrong side of the post.
On 17 minutes the Magpies created their first opening when Tom Bath exchanged passes with Harry Warwick in the home box only for Bath to screw his shot wide of the target without troubling Jack Smith in the United goal.
The midway point in the half almost saw United go close once again as Jalloh took possession on the right of the visitors area before pulling the ball back to Duku, his initial shot was pushed out by Murphy whose defence only cleared as far as Jalloh who fed Duku again but this time his shot curled wide of the target.
Two minutes later United's task was made easier when a rash tackle on Liam McDevitt by Ben Rowthorn was deemed dangerous by referee Blair and the Dorchester man was shown a straight 
.
Within minutes of the visitors going down to ten men United had a second and could have had two more as well. Jalloh collected a pass and held off four challengers before firing straight at Murphy and within a minute Donnelly's pass across the park picked out Jalloh who moved into the box but Murphy held his angled drive.
Then on 29 minutes the second came as Jack Williams found space on the left side and advanced to the byeline before crossing to Little who fired home from 12 yards out (below left & right).
In the 36th minute Murphy and the crossbar kept the United lead to two. A clearance from the back was flicked on by Little to Duku whose first time centre was met by Rowe only for Murphy to tip the header wide. The resultant corner kick was met by Coker, his header came back off the crossbar to McDevitt who saw his header also come back off the bar this time to Rowe who was again denied by Murphy who pushed his effort wide. The corner was played short to Donnelly who found Rowe but this time his shot went wide.
The final few minutes of the half saw a further spell of total domination from the home side with two further strikes pushing the score up to 4-0.
In the 43rd minute Williams found Rowe who turned his marker on the edge of the box before drawing yet another fine save from Murphy as the stopper pushed his drive wide. The corner kick was rolled to Rowe who in turn set up a shooting chance for Williams but his drive was too high.
A minute later club record goalscorer Little had another, playing on the opposite side to normal, he collected the ball on the right side of the Magpies box, his low goal-bound cross come shot being helped into the net by Jamie Laird.
United were not ready for the interval yet however and in stoppage time another was added when Jalloh collected the ball on the left side of the box before firing beyond Murphy into the bottom corner of the Magpies net.
Before the half ended Murphy denied United a fifth as Rowe drove the ball goalwards on the turn only to again be denied by Murphy's agility as he tipped the ball over and that was it for the first half.
Paul Hughes made a double change during the interval with Jalloh and Coker being replaced by James Clark and Keano Robinson respectively.
Only one further goal arrived for United in the second half through a combination of less than clinical finishing and excellent goalkeeping, either way it's hard to criticise when the game has already been won in the first 45 minutes.
The first opening after the re-start came in the 48th minute when Donnelly won possession and fed Little on the right flank, his first time centre was met by a diving Duku but his header went wide of the far post.
Minutes later Clark slipped the ball through to Donnelly after a meat passing move brought the ball up to the United substitute, Donnelly's effort being kept out by Murphy who spread himself well before practically sitting on the ball.
Rowe again went close shortly after following fine approach play from Robinson and Little and just before the hour Donnelly and Little played a quick short corner routine, the latter crossing to Duku who headed over.
Duku did finally notch his second on the hour, Callum Buckley held ball up well on the left before finding Williams, the United man nutmegging a defender before crossing low to the near post where Duku swept the ball past Murphy.
With the visitors attack being pretty much blunt due to being a man light, the most the Magpies could muster was a couple of corners that failed to trouble the United back line while chances at the other end came and went without further trouble to the scorer.
In the 63rd minute Duku collected from Clark only to fire over and then seven minutes later a Williams cross was missed by the Magpies defence but as the ball unexpectedly fell to Duku, Murphy was quickly down to grab the ball at his feet.
Two more chances to complete a hat-trick came Duku's way in the final ten minutes. Connor Toomey won the ball in the middle of the park and found Little on the right, he played it inside to Robinson who then found Clark, his off target shot found its way to Duku who sadly only found the side netting.
In the final minute a perfect chip over the Magpies defence was dummies by Williams leaving the ball at the feet of Duku who was yet again denied by Murphy and the game came to an end with United scoring a 5-0 victory that pushes Paul Hughes' side up to seventh in the table with just over half of the season's games played.
