Hayes & Yeading United Football Club

The club can confirm that striker Lewis Toomey has decided to move on to Evo-Stik Premier side Hendon with his starting opportunities being somewhat curtailed of late in Paul Hughes' free-scoring United side.

On behalf of all at United I would like to wish Lewis well with his new club and thank him for his service in United red this season.

The club are delighted to announce that we have agreed terms with Leatherhead FC for the free transfer of striker Elliot Benyon. Elliot re-joins us to further strengthen our forward line which has already scored over 50 league goals this season, at a rate of nearly four goals per game.

In his last spell with the club, Elliot scored 21 goals in 57 appearances, and was top scorer in 2015-16 and named ‘Player of the Year’ the same season – he joins in time for today’s home match with Bedfont Sports and goes straight in to the squad for the pre-Christmas encounter as we look to continue our quest for promotion.

The Club would like to thank Nikki Bull and Leatherhead FC for making this happen, and we look forward to Elliot’s name appearing on the scoresheet for HYUFC again very soon.

Hayes & Yeading can confirm that 19 year-old striker Great Evans has decided to leave the club in search of starting opportunities and has signed for fellow Bostik South Central side South Park who currently prop up the table.

We wish Great well with his new club, apart from the two games against United, and thank him for his efforts in United red that has seen him make 3(8) appearances with 3 goals to his credit.

Hayes & Yeading have won the Bostik South Central, Supreme Engaving, Performance of the Month for the second consecutive time, this time for our 2-1 victory in the Buildbase FA Trophy replay at Premier Division side Brightlingsea Regent.

Congratulations to Paul Hughes, his backroom staff and all of the United squad who are worthy winners of this accolade.

Confirmed here.
