All at Hayes & Yeading United were shocked and deepy saddened to learn of the death of our good friend Dave Reader, Chairman of Bedfont Sports FC early this morning.

Everyone at United sends their heartfelt condolences and best wishes to Dave's family, friends and all associated with Bedfont Sports FC at this very sad time.

Restart announced

The Southern Football League have announced that the season will re-start on Saturday 12th December on the proviso that lockdown ends as planned on 2nd.

This will mean a re-start for United with a Saturday trip to Yate Town followed by a re-arranged away trip where we will make the short journey to Harrow Borough on Tuesday 15th December.

Duo Go on Dual Registration

To maintain their match fitness whilst we are on lockdown, defender Marcus Johnson-Schuster and striker Tom Derry have both gone on short term dual registration to National League South side Braintree Town.

Both were in the Braintree squad for their game on Tuesday evening, they will however be back with United in time for the restart.

Duo Go on Loan

To maintain their match fitness whilst we are on lockdown, Skipper Liam McDevitt and Midfielder Omar Rowe have both gone on a short term loan deal to National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town.

Both are in today’s Hemel squad for the game against Welling United, they will however be back with United in time for the restart.

FA Cup tie can go ahead

The UK Government have confirmed that the ten non-elite teams can participate in this weekends Emirates FA Cup ties under elite protocols.

Buildbase FA Trophy 1st Round Draw

The draw for the 1st round of the Buildbase FA Trophy was made today and this has given the winners of tomorrow's re-arranged tie at Uxbridge a home draw against high flying Isthmian Premier side Cray Wanderers.

The game is scheduled for Saturday 14th November 2020 however with this date being inside the latest Government lockdown period the winners will have to await instruction from the FA as to when the tie can take place.
