Dean Palmer was a tall and very capable defender who started at Brighton & Hove Albion and also played for Dover Athletic and Slough Town (2002-03). He joined Boreham Wood during the summer of 2003 and then switched to rivals Hemel Hempstead Town in January 2004. He arrived at the Warren in February 2004, making 12 starts, 2 substitute appearances and scoring a solitary goal. In November of the same year he followed Hemel Hempstead Town’s assistant-manager Steve Browne to Dover Athletic for whom he was playing in January 2005. He also played for Sutton United for the entire 2008-09 season.

Originally a left-winger, Marlon Patterson began his career in the youth ranks at Millwall and then Chelsea, and he also had a brief spell in Eastern Europe. He then played at Fisher Athletic, Dulwich Hamlet, Billericay Town, Crawley Town and Carshalton Athletic. He spent the entire 2006-07 season at Yeading, making 37 starts. He also scored five goals, one of which, in the September 2006 match at Basingstoke Town, was described as Yeading’s Goal of the Season. After a six-match league career at Dagenham & Redbridge at the start of the 2007-08 season, he joined Welling United (2007) and Grays Athletic (2008) on loan. He then played for Bishop's Stortford, Histon and Bishop's Stortford (again), before joining Chelmsford City in December 2009 where he seems to have been converted into a full back. He has joined Thurrock for the start of the 2011-12 season.

Striker Tony Perfect played for St Albans City, Wingate & Finchley, Leyton Pennant, Leatherhead and Hampton & Richmond Borough. He then joined Conference National side Dagenham & Redbridge and after a short loan spell at Arlesey Town arrived at The Warren in November 2004. Tony made five starts and a single substitute appearance for Yeading.

Irrepressible goalkeeper
Delroy Preddie started his career as a trainee with Northampton Town and has also played for Slough Town in the Conference National and Walton & Hersham. Delroy joined Chesham United in 1999 and linked up with Yeading in pre-season 2003-04, winning the Supporters' Player of the Year in 2005-06. Having made 137 appearances for the Ding, he followed Drax to Maidenhead United during the 2006-07 season, played a single game for Aylesbury United at the start of the 2007-08 season and had a brief spell at Staines Town. He then joined newly merged Hayes & Yeading United, helping them to Blue Square South play-off glory and gaining legendary status with the “Delroy Roar”. He moved back to Walton & Hersham in September 2009 where he remained first choice until the end of the season. He started the 2010-11 season at ill-fated Windsor & Eton, before rejoining Hayes & Yeading United where he was appointed as player/goalkeeping coach in July 2011.

Left sided player Emond Protain first played for Wembley and moved to Harrow Borough in the summer of 2000. He arrived at the Warren in the summer of 2002 and had an impressive first season earning him the coveted Players’ Player of the Year Award in May 2003. He also played in the FA Cup 3rd round tie against Newcastle United in January 2005, and as the ESPN report says, “if only his powerful header had been six inches lower”. Having made 157+15 appearances, scoring 18 times, Emond left in December 2005 for Windsor & Eton and ended that season back at Harrow Borough. He spent the entire 2006-07 season at Leyton, and then had a trial at Hendon pre-season 2007-08 but didn’t sign.
