A highly entertaining local derby ended all square as Simon East's team extended their unbeaten record but for the second match in a row, had to do so with a draw.

The first chance fell to Andel Thomas who brought the ball down in the penalty arc but fired his rising shot wide of the right hand post. United rallied and after Jalon Rowe had refused a shot from the left channel, the ball was cleared as far as Oneal Rowe, who rode a few challenges before shooting straight at Phil Clarke in the Swans goal.

Joe Aribo had a header from a corner turned around the post by Tyler Wootton and then Adebayo Alatishe had a similar chance flash wide of the far post. However, the deadlock was broken as United broke swiftly away, Jalon Rowe sending in an accurate low cross which the on rushing Tom Marr met first time to finish.

In the main, United's approach play was more measured, although Staines' pacy front line were causing plenty of problems. Shaquille McIntosh latched onto Will Figueira's throughball but Wootton narrowed the angle and deflected the near post shot behind. Staines did get a deserved equaliser soon afterwards as a low drilled Danny Davies free kick travelled through a crowded penalty area before nestling into the bottom corner.

United finished the half strongly. First, Oneal Rowe went on another marauding run, culminating in a shot which Clarke was able to catch cleanly. Then, Arti Krasniqi sent over a superb cross despite a rather physical challenge from Alatishe and Mbengiu was inches wide with his header.

The second half started at just as fast a pace. Davies hit another from long range which Ahmed Mohammed blocked, but play then quickly switched to Jalon Rowe who went through one on one, but hit his shot straight at Clarke.

A minute later, the same player broke again, but this time sent over a cross which just missed Cravid's head. However, another break down the left was to bear fruit as Krasniqi crossed and Prince Mbengiu controlled the ball smartly before finding the bottom corner.

For the first time in the match, play hit a lull, but Staines were the first to awaken, first as a corner was only half cleared and Figueira hit a shot which found the side netting. McIntosh then fired a low shot which Wootton was able to block with his legs.

The Swans second equaliser came in the 71st minute. A low Etienne cross caused confusion in the six yard box and Figueira capitalised against his former club, firing in from close range.

United responded, with Jalon Rowe hitting the foot of the post after Josh Odunwo had chased down a lost cause to the bye-line and cut the ball back. Krasniqi then went on another lung busting run but his long range shot was gathered in by Clarke. Soon afterwards, a superb team move from one side of the pitch to the other saw Gil Cravid curl his shot inches wide. Ahmed Mohammed was then presented with a great chance but it came to him too suddenly and he mishit his shot straight at Clarke.

As play reached the latter stages, Wootton saved well low to his left from Figueira's speculative shot. Play quickly switched to the other end and Marr headed Cravid's free-kick goalwards only for Clarke to gather. Both teams continued to attack the game until the end but had to settle for a point apiece as the final whistle sounded.
