Two early Hayes & Yeading United goals made for a comfortable afternoon in the Berkshire sunshine for Nas Bashir's side as Combined Counties Windsor were beaten 3-1 at Stag Meadow.

United were soon in the driving seat when in just the fourth minute, John Goddard collected the ball outside the box, turned to face the target and fired a low drive into the bottom corner beyond the despairing fingertips of Windsor keeper Rob Bullivant.

Just three minutes later a cross from the Windsor right wing saw Ryan O'Toole rise first but he was not quite tall enough and the ball skimmed his head and went well wide of the target.

Former Windsor & Eton winger Victor Osobu was soon giving the new Windsor all sorts of problems down the left flank, on 14 minutes he outpaced Chris Ellis into the area but Bullivant held onto his angled shot. Four minutes later a surging advance by midfielder Gareth Risbridger saw him brought crashing to the ground by Ellis just on the edge of the "D". Osobu took control of the free-kick and planted it high to Bullivant's left and in off the top of the post to double United's lead.

Just after the midway point in the half the home side should have got themselves back in the game when a Ben Porter throughball sent Ryan O'Toole clear but he chipped weakly into James Beasant's welcoming arms.

Minutes later Goddard again went close for United as he tried to sweep home a Risbridger cross, the ball going inches wide of the upright. United continued to dominate, Jerome Anderson fed Osobu but he fired wide and then Osobu himself danced his way around three attempted tackles before chipping over the diving Bullivant only for his effort to go the wrong side of the post.

The half closed with another opening for the home side as their skipper Andrew Fagan was first to meet a floated free-kick from the right, his header just clearing Beasant's crossbar.

Nas made many changes at the break, including the introduction of former Spurs striker Kudus Oyenuga. In fact of was a combination of two substitutes that almost brought a third United goal. Manny Williams nipped in front of Bullivant but was forced wide, his square ball found namesake Luke who saw his shot go past Bullivant only to be cleared off the line by Ellis.

Seconds later it was the Williams' combination again who caused problems for the home defence, Manny receiving a return pass from Luke before trying to curl the ball into the top corner and not missing by much.

On the hour Ellis, who was now appearing regularly up front, collected the ball from Yashwa Romeo and fired a shot across the face of Beasant's goal that went wide of the far post. Oyenuga then went close three times before netting a third for United in the space of eight minutes. Having just missed the target with a header from Luke Williams cross, the striker was then inches wide of the goal having cut into the box from the wing. He then won possession that he had initially lost in the area only for Bullivant to block with an outstretched leg before finally finding the net in the 81st minute. Bentley clipping the ball neatly over the defence from the middle of the park with the former Spurs man controlling the ball before firing under Bullivant.

United's clean sheet was denied five minutes from time when a Porter free-kick took a deflection off the United wall and found it's way into the corner of Beasant's net.
