Hayes & Yeading United 4
Raynes Park Vale 1
Half-Time: 2-1 Referee: Mr M Sennett
United dominated this game from start to finish and but for some slack finishing this could have been a cricket score.

Ironically though, it was Raynes Park Vale who took the lead in the second minute when a through ball found Jamie Parker in acres of space and he volleyed past Sam Beasant to put the visitors a goal to the good.

Adam Cornell equalised two minutes later when he picked up the ball midway into the Raynes Park half and rifled an unstoppable shot past the diving keeper.

With chances still going begging United took a deserved lead with just eight minutes played, again through Adam Cornell.

For the remainder of the half chances came and went for United but when the half time whistle blew it was just a solitary goal difference between the two sides.

United continued to dominate the second half and at times were guilty of trying to walk the ball into the net, before we eventually got a third goal through Rhys Price. Michael Barima picked up the ball in his own half and ran at the Raynes Park defencereaching the bye-line before crossing the ball for Price to stab home.

United finally put the game out of reach when a corner found Christopher LaPierre unmarked to fire past the Vale stopper.

With still time to go United had at least four one on ones with the keeper to make it a bigger score, but the visiting custodian kept them at bay to give his side some semblance of respect in the final result.
