Steve Farmer was an experienced defender who arrived at The Warren in March 2007 from Tamworth of the Conference National although he was best known from his time at Grantham Town, Nuneaton Borough and Sutton Coldfield Town. Steve began his career at Atherstone United as a teenager and also had spells at Willenhall Town, Gressley Rovers, Halesowen Town, Rugby Town, Hednesford Town and Wakefield. Started five matches for Yeading towards the end of the 2006-07 season before becoming manager of Nuneaton Griff FC of the Midland Football Combination in the summer of 2007. He’ll start the 2011-12 season as manager of Bedworth United of Southern League One South.

Goalkeeper Ross Flitney started his career in the youth set up at Arsenal, before moving to Fulham, but he didn’t make a first team appearance for either team. After short loan periods at Brighton & Hove Albion and Doncaster Rovers he arrived at The Warren, again on loan, making eight starts for Yeading in the 2004-05 season. He then spent two seasons at Barnet, and another two at Grays, before joining Croydon Athletic, initially on loan, for the start of the 2009-10 season. He moved to Dover Athletic in January 2010, moving back into the Football League in July 2011 when he signed for Gillingham for an undisclosed fee.
